Bio
Watch Maryam Borumand, Ph.D., scientist and researcher in the cosmetic division of a Swiss pharmaceutical company. She shares how after being born in Iran, she didn't know a single word of English on her first day of school when her family moved to the UK at age 10. But she had already developed a love for science, even before beginning school, and quickly adapted to her new language and went on to get her Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Her advice to girls is to follow your passion and don’t let anyone discourage you from doing what you love.
