Watch Ifueko Nosakhare Igbinedion, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at MIT. Her research focus is on writing algorithms for drones that allow them to use cameras to understand their environment. The most rewarding part of her work is taking a challenging subject, breaking it down, and contributing her research to make her mark in science. Ifueko says that girls should consider a career in technology because you can take any field that interests you and use computer science to create applications in that field. Her advice to girls is always to be honest with yourself and never let anyone else’s ideas dictate what you choose to do with your life.
