Bio
Watch Yvette Woods, artist and educator share her passion for art education and her vision for incorporating artistic principals into our everyday lives. Learning artistic skills can help students improve academically in other subjects, as well. As a sculptor, she attended the Kansas City Art Institute and studied in the United Kingdom before becoming the first African American artist to have a solo exhibition at the St. Louis Art Museum. Like in sports, she believes visualization in the mind can be a valuable artistic tool.
