Watch Alexis Hope, a designer, and researcher at the MIT Media Lab. Her work focuses on broadening the participation of women in designing technology for women’s health. The most rewarding part of her job is listening to people’s stories and working on making technology better to meet their needs. Alexis says that girls should consider a career in design because it is an exciting field that offers many different ways to learn new things and express their creativity. Her advice to girls is to always treat yourself and others with kindness and grace. That will make the world a gentler place.
