Bio
Watch Dr. Dawn Thompson, M.D., Pediatrician and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ, share her unusual path to becoming a physician. She attended college on a volleyball scholarship intending to major in international business. After a knee injury required her to undergo rehabilitation, she became interested in medicine and was encouraged by her physical therapist to pursue a medical degree. Her love of children led her to specialize in pediatrics and her favorite part of the day is seeing the newborn babies.
