Bio
Watch Claudia Rinaldi, Ph.D., Chair of Education, and Associate Professor of Education at Lasell College, share how a rewarding part of her job is educating new teachers and launching them in their careers. Because her first language was Spanish, she knows what it is like to be a student who is learning English at the same time they are learning other subjects, and uses this experience in her current job to train new teachers on how to work with students in that same situation. Her advice to students for whom English is a second language is to keep their first language because knowing more than one, gives them a competitive advantage in the workplace.
