Video Discussion:

Tell students they will be watching the video Why Extracurricular Activities. Explain that the video presents role models talking about why extracurricular activities are valuable. Tell students that, as they view the video, they should listen for reasons the role models believe they should consider extracurricular activities.

Activity Instructions:

Have the students brainstorm about some activities that they currently do or might enjoy doing (art, music, dance, sports, volunteer work, etc.).
Using the planner handout, have the students fill in on the calendar when these activities are happening now or when they could best be scheduled.
