Activity Instructions:
Students will be creating a vision board to reflect on and solidify their goals for the future.
- Think about your goals for the future. These could be goals for school, sport-related goals, personal goals, or a combination!
- Browse through the newspapers and magazines and cut out anything that speaks to your goals.
- Select scraps of fabric, colored markers, or anything else from the craft materials that symbolizes the goals you’re working towards.
- Using a piece of poster board, arrange your magazine clippings and other craft materials in a way that looks pleasing.
- Use glue to secure each item to your poster board.
- Optional: Add extra drawings, doodles, or written words to fill in any empty space.
- Add a title and/or your name at the top.
- As time allows, look at your finished vision board and answer the following questions on a separate piece of paper:
- What goals did you include on your vision board?
- How did you symbolize each of these goals? What images or words did you use?
- Thinking of one of your goals, what steps will you need to take to reach this goal?
- Place your vision board somewhere you can see it regularly. Viewing your vision board can serve as a reminder of your intentions and be a source of inspiration and motivation to help you reach your goals.
