EMPOWERMENT THROUGH LITERATURE
Book the Future is dedicated to all the girls who dare to dream—both between pages and outside of them.
I grew up between the pages of my favorite books, spending my days between the bookshelves of local libraries and spending my nights huddled under the covers with a book and a flashlight. Throughout my childhood, I was always able to find solace in my favorite literary worlds and characters.
For me, books have always been both an inspiration and an escape. I believe that literature presents various avenues to explore new heights, as there is so much to learn and experience from literature. My first female heroines were the likes of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Hermione Granger, who encouraged me to dream hard and work hard, to be kind and to be confident.
Today, I have had the opportunity to share my love of literature with girls around the world. As a passionate advocate for youth literacy, I founded Book the Future, an organization dedicated to providing books for families in need. I have also led various writing workshops in the Greater Seattle Area, empowering young girls to express themselves and share their passions. Book the Future is dedicated to all the girls who dare to dream—both between pages and outside of them.
