Bio
Watch Noelle Bowlin, marine biologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) Fisheries, and, Ph.D. student at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego, share why every girl should want to be a marine researcher. Her focus is on the amazing marine life that inhabits the mesopelagic zone. Because this part of the ocean is the area between 200 to 1,000 meters below the surface, the creatures living here feature incredible adaptations such as the ability to emit light to disguise themselves from predators.
