Watch Sharmen Gowens, the CEO of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, whose mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. The most rewarding part of her job is hearing feedback from the people that they serve and knowing that they’re making a difference in the community. Sharmen believes that the field of community relations is a great choice for girls because they can create their own career path in many different types of organizations. Her advice to girls is to know who you are, be yourself and always do your best.
