Bio
Watch Aiko Doden, a presenter and commentator with NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). She finds her work very rewarding because she often hears from people whose lives have been impacted by the stories that she shares. Aiko thinks that girls should consider a career in journalism because half the population is women, and their perspectives need to be reflected in the news that is being reported. Her advice to girls who would like a career in the news business is to take your studies seriously. The skills you are learning now in school will help you to understand the people and situations you will encounter as a journalist.
