Watch Amel Ghouila, a bioinformatician and researcher, works at Pasteur Institute, a biomedical institution in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia in North Africa. She also works for an African network focused on understanding different diseases common in the African continent. She loves applying computer sciences, the power of coding and mathematical models to understanding complex diseases. Amel is fascinated about educating and empowering young girls. She advises young girls to learn everywhere, from everyone, and be curious until they find something they are passionate about. Girls who choose careers in bioinformatics can quickly provide doctors with useful data.
