Bio
Watch Mikayla Thompson, Ph.D., a regulatory affairs professional, share how she is the liaison between her company and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and files the applications necessary for the approval of new drugs for patients. Her love of biology began in 3rd grade when she won her first Science Fair with a project about which detergent works the best. Her advice to girls who would like to have a career in biotechnology is to keep up with math and science, of course, but also use your summers to find opportunities to do laboratory experiments in camps or internships.
