Bio
Watch Dr. Kathie Ann Joseph, M.D., Breast Surgeon, Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center and Director of the Breast Service, HHC, Southern Manhattan, share how a college research internship on women's health at Harlem Hospital, not only provided her with money for school, but gave her valuable experience and insight that led to an award winning thesis at Harvard University and a strong desire to give back to the community in the public health field. Prior to her current position, she was the first African American female to be appointed a Columbia faculty member in the Department of Surgery.
