Watch Jameelah Muhammad, Civil Engineer, Parsons Brinckerhoff, share how her early love of art and math was a perfect fit for an engineering career. She specializes in structural engineering and inspecting bridges for the City of Chicago. In high school she studied Japanese, and while earning her degree in Civil Engineering from Princeton University, she won an internship in Tokyo, Japan studying the effects of earthquakes and wind. One of her favorite bridges is the Japanese Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which has the longest central span of any suspension bridge in the world.
