Watch Dr. Satira Streeter, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist and Executive Director, Ascensions Psychological and Community Services, Inc., share how her desire to be part of the solution, inspired her to open the first mental health clinic in one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in Washington DC. As a former foster child, she is proof that difficulties in life can also be a source of strength. Dr. Streeter went from an average high school student to graduating Summa Cum Laude from Wilberforce University before earning her doctorate in Psychology.
