Watch Leah McGowen-Hare, a computer scientist and Master Technical Trainer for Salesforce.com, share how the most enjoyable part of teaching is when she sees “the light bulbs go off in peoples’ heads” at the moment when it all starts to make sense. She loves seeing students, who never thought they could code, writing code by the end of the session. She encourages all girls to at least try learning to code to eliminate any fear surrounding it. If a girl likes puzzles or problem solving, she might be pleasantly surprised to learn that coding is fun.
