Bio
Watch Sandra Organ Solis, Dancer, Choreographer and Artistic Director of Sandra Organ Dance Company, discuss her career as a soloist for the Houston Ballet and being the company’s first African-American ballerina. She toured internationally with the Houston Ballet, including a magical performance in Norway for the King. After 15 seasons with the company, she recounts how she became an independent choreographer and founded her own dance company. For her, the quintessential ballet is Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations”.
