Bio
Watch Katrina Toews, dancer and director of the Washington Ballet @ Town Hall Education Arts and Recreation Center (THEARC), share her vision and passion for dance and choreography in working with students and residents of Washington, D.C. Her efforts with the DC public schools demonstrate the value of the arts, and dance in particular, in improving student academic performance in math and science. She points out that while discipline and commitment are critical to becoming a dancer, there is no truth to the myth about needing a particular body type.
