Bio
Watch Laura Karlin, founder and artistic director of Invertigo Dance Theatre in Los Angeles, share how she loves using dance, movement and bodies in space to tell stories. She started Invertigo to provide a structure that would allow her to pay the dancers and artists that she collaborates with and to present dance that not only entertains, but also provokes thought about the important issues of our time. In addition to stage performances, a favorite part of her work is engaging with the community through student programs and a Dancing Through Parkinson's program she has developed. She encourages girls to know as much as you can about everything, because you never know who you might work with and what they might require of you.
