Bio
Watch Penny Wirsing, environmental engineer for ExxonMobil and director of Emerging Initiatives for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), share how there are so many opportunities in engineering for girls to pursue their interests, even if math is not a favorite subject. In her work at ExxonMobil, she leads a team of environmental advisors, first line supervisors and technicians to ensure their refinery's compliance with local, state and federal regulations to protect the environment. She encourages girls who want to learn more about engineering to check out “Wow! That’s Engineering!” and “Invent It, Build It” programs on the SWE website, swe.org.
