Bio
Watch Carrie Shores, an executive chef instructor at a nonprofit organization for underprivileged people called Work Options for Women. Her responsibilities include writing menus, running the kitchen, and teaching basic culinary skills so her students can go out and maintain a job. The favorite part of Carrie’s job is working with people who are starting on a new path in life and believe in their abilities to change their lives. Carrie has found that being in the culinary field is empowering and fun for girls and women. They get to be themselves – strong, independent, confident.
