Bio
Watch Lois Vossen, Executive Producer and Founder of the PBS television film series Independent Lens, which is seen in every city of the country. The series’ focus is diversity. Its primary goal is working with and funding filmmakers who are non-white and/or women. Lois says the best part of her job is the filmmakers and viewers that she gets to reach. She advises girls to work hard, follow their passion, find something they love and cultivate great friends. She says girls should consider a career in film because the industry – despite challenges – needs women storytellers, producers and writers.
