Bio
Watch Alison Greenberg, Academy Award winning producer and filmmaker, re-live the experience of being nominated and winning an Oscar and share how "Saving Face", a story about women who were victims of acid attacks, was transformed from an idea into an award winning documentary. She is currently working with the Denver Film Society to promote local filmmaking and filmmakers in the area. Her advice to girls who are interested in making films or documentaries is to take advantage of the one thing that you have that she didn’t – your phone. Just start filming. Play with it and write. Use your imagination to come up with stories or scenarios. And be sure to watch as many films as possible. YouTube is a great resource for helping you find what type of films interest you.
