Watch Dr. Lopa Mishra, M.D., Chair, Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition Division of Internal Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Professor of Gastroenterology, discuss her exciting scientific discoveries. She also shares stories of being born in Kenya and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro as a young girl and then moving to London a teenager and beginning her training to become a doctor. After medical school, the late Dame Sheila Sherlock from the Royal College of Physicians was her mentor. And upon coming to the United States, she has enjoyed a very distinguished career at a number of prestigious hospitals and organizations.
