Watch Janey Sue Andrews Pratt, M.D., a General Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery to treat people with severe obesity. The most rewarding part of her job is helping patients and working as a team with her colleagues in the operating room. Janey says that girls should consider a career in surgery if they want a rewarding job to help others and use many different skills. Her advice to girls is to think outside the box and don’t be afraid to ask for what they want.
