Bio
Watch Dr. Karen Lu, M.D., Professor, Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Division of Surgery, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center discuss her fast breaking research on detecting uterine cancer and her simultaneous focus on cancer prevention, as well. She also shares her values on hard work, having a family and pursuing a career. Dr. Lu earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical Sciences at Harvard University before later attending Medical School at Yale University. Between medical school and college, she took a year off to teach English to medical school students in Beijing, her grandmother’s country of origin.
