Watch Julieta Ventura, Materials Engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center discuss her love of reading (especially the “Twilight” series, Jane Austen and Gabriel Garcia Marquez) and how it helped her to develop the research skills required by her work. We also learn about the cool way to examine metals by freezing them in liquid nitrogen and then cracking them open like an egg for examination under a microscope.
