Watch Linda Whitaker, Middle School Principal, Detroit Public Schools, share how she loves creating a learning environment to help children reach their potential. A favorite part of a typical day includes greeting the children with a big smile as they arrive at school. She uses her own childhood love of dance and performance to engage and motivate her students to do better. Her advice for students is to find yourself by discovering what you like. Know that it is okay to change it, but always have a plan in mind of what you want to do and work towards it.
