Bio
Watch Caryn G. Mathes, President and General Manager at KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio, share how she enjoys working with her team to provide a stellar news and information resource for the Seattle area. She has always loved writing and got her start in journalism at the age of 13 by writing articles published in the youth section in her local newspaper. Girls should consider a career in journalism to bring their perspective into the world and tell stories that matter to them. Her advice to girls is to take the initiative to seek out mentors. There are plenty of people that consider it their responsibility to give back, and want to help you succeed.
